Who We Are

Vanguard Cleaning Systems GTA West is the Area Franchisor for the Greater Toronto Area West region, licensed by Vanguard Cleaning Systems, Inc. to use the Vanguard Cleaning Systems® trademark and franchise system. We support a network of independently owned Unit Franchisees who provide commercial cleaning services to customers in our region. We are the party responsible for the personal information collected through this website.

Information We Collect

When you submit our Contact / Facility Assessment form, we collect your first and last name, company name, facility address, phone number, email address, facility type, estimated cleanable space, approximate monthly contract value range, and any message you provide.

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how visitors use this website. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, how you arrived at the site, your approximate location (city or region), the type of device and browser you use, and actions such as submitting our assessment form or clicking a phone number or franchise information link. We do not send the contents of any form you submit to Google Analytics. We have turned off Google's advertising and cross-device features, and we do not use this information for advertising.

If you request franchise information, that request is submitted through the corporate Vanguard Cleaning Systems website and is governed by that website's privacy policy. The corporate office forwards franchise inquiries for our region to us.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you submit to evaluate and follow up on facility assessment requests, to communicate with you about our services, and to improve this website. We use analytics information to understand how visitors find and use the site, which pages are most useful, and how many visitors contact us, so that we can improve the site over time.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share the information you submit with our own staff and franchise owners, where necessary to evaluate or respond to your request; with service providers who help us operate this website (such as our website hosting provider and Google, which provides Google Analytics), who are only permitted to use your information to provide those services to us; or as required by law, or to protect our legal rights.

We do not share your information with Vanguard Cleaning Systems, Inc. or other Area Franchisors outside our own region, except as necessary to operate this website, or unless you separately interact with the corporate Vanguard Cleaning Systems website, which has its own privacy policy governing that separate site.

Some of our service providers may be located outside of Canada, including the United States. When your personal information is transferred outside Canada, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives an appropriate level of protection.

Cookies

This website uses cookies set by Google Analytics (for example, cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) to distinguish visits and measure how the site is used. We do not use advertising cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout (opens in a new tab)), or by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser settings. The website will continue to work normally if you do.

Retention of Personal Information

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected — such as responding to your inquiry or providing services — or as required by law. Once no longer needed, we securely delete, erase, or anonymize it. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then automatically deleted.

Your Rights

Under Canada's federal private-sector privacy law (PIPEDA), you generally have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, and withdraw your consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. How We Protect Your Information

We use reasonable security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold to protect it from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for business use and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date.
